It has been a bit of a while since I have uploaded a post on here, I didn't plan on having a break but life just kind of got in the way. I will probably be uploading some kind of life update post in the very near future but I thought I would come back with a post all about the Dripping Gold fake tan I've been using recently!

I love testing out new products and I uploaded a post last Summer all about Isle Of Paradise tan which I have linked here incase you wanted to check that out. I was thinking of doing more beauty reviews in general in the future and I really want to try Loving Tan & St.Tropez too so watch this space!

Dripping Gold is an Irish brand and all of their products are made in Ireland and are vegan & cruelty free which is amazing. I have seen Dripping Gold tanning products all over Instagram and I really wanted to see what the brand was all about. Over the past month I have been trying out the Ultra Dark Mousse & Wonder Water Facial Mist. I picked these products up from Beauty Bay but you can order direct from their website & they have just announced selected Primark stores stock their products as well which is super handy.

As I'm quite pale I did second guess my decision to order ultra dark at first but I'm so glad I did! This tan is such a gorgeous colour and it doesn't look orange on the skin at all which is so important. The colour pay off will vary a bit depending on how long you leave it on for, I always sleep in it to give the product as much time as possible to develop.

This tanning mousse is so easy to apply, it goes on so nicely and it blends so well. It also doesn't transfer, feel sticky on the skin or smell like biscuits. It's unusual to find a fake tan like this that ticks all the boxes.

Dripping Gold gives your skin such an amazing glow and it is really hydrating which is something I was very impressed with. It contains Hyaluronic Acid (alongside other vitamins & extracts) which is super nourishing and great for dry skin.

This tan fades so evenly and it doesn't go patchy like so many other tanning products I've tried. If I forget to moisturise my skin it is still super hydrated and glowy which is amazing. After the 5th-7th day mark I remove the remaining tan and start again to keep it looking as fresh as possible. Because the tan doesn't go patchy I think you could always top it up a few days in if you feel like you need to.

To get rid of my tan I have been applying coconut oil to my skin which I find breaks the tan down. I then leave the coconut oil on for 5-10 minutes and then hop into the shower and scrub it all off. I sometimes use an exfoliator after I've done this to make sure the tan is all off but I definitely recommend exfoliating gloves. I do want to try the Dripping Gold Tan Remover and I will be ordering some really soon. All in all I managed to get six applications out of the bottle of this tanning mousse which for me is pretty good going as I don't exactly use my tan sparingly.

I think the key to smooth application is getting a good tanning mitt & at the moment I am loving this one. It is velvety, double sided and washable and I think it makes all the difference to the way the tan goes on. I have used cheaper ones in the past but I just ended up spending more replacing them after every application and the tan always used to seep through so it just wasn't worth it!

I always used to struggle with application on my hands but I've finally learnt the best way to do it. I literally use the remaining tan on the mit and gently sweep it over, it's quite surprising how much is still on there. I then go in with a wet wipe to get rid of any excess on my palms & finger nails. Another good way around the hand tanning situation is mixing a pump of mousse with some moisturiser on your mit and applying it to your hands with a buffing brush.

The Dripping Gold Mousse can be used on your face with a mitt or foundation brush but at the moment I have been using the Wonder Water Facial Mist instead.

When I ordered this product I could only get hold of the Light- Medium shade but it comes in Medium- Dark too. Even though it is the lighter shade it works really well for me even alongside the Ultra Dark Tanning Mousse. I can happily go out with no makeup if I've got this on, it just takes the edge off how pale I normally am and brings me back to life!

Wonder Water doesn't dry my skin out or sink into my pores either. I was super impressed with how well it evens out my skin tone too as I have a bit of redness on my cheeks. When I've got fake tan on I tend to apply this product every other night after my skincare routine. It develops in 4-6 hours and you can also put it on in the morning alone or let it develop under makeup too.

This product has such a nice scent, it's quite tropical and smells like Summer. I've got so much use out of it and it's barely gone down. For application I spray it directly on to a makeup brush and put it on that way. I have quite fair hair so I always pop some kind of a barrier on my brows (usually Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream or Vaseline) to stop them from going orange. This mist has become one of my favourite products and I will 100% be repurchasing when I've run out.

I am super impressed with Dripping Gold and there are so many other products I want try. I've got my eyes on the fake tanning lotion and they have just launched one in 'Ultra Dark' so I'm definitely going to be ordering that soon. I'm also going on holiday in October and I cannot wait to take Dripping Gold products away with me as I do not tan naturally.

I was kindly gifted a few hair care products from System Professional via Zyper and I thought I would upload a little review on here. I've been testing these haircare products out for over a month now and I wanted to give them a good go before posting this.

My hair care game definitely wasn't on top form at the start of the year; I got super lazy and into the habit of grabbing whatever was on the side in the shower which never worked out well. My hair is prone to getting super frizzy but at the same time it can also go the other way and get really greasy too. I needed something that was able to handle my hair and that would actually agree with it.

System Professional have changed the game & they have such a wide range of products available. They have created a way for you to find the best products for your hair (& scalp) on their website (linked here!) They have recognised that no two people have the same hair type and it is as unique as your fingerprint. The feature on their website helps you find the best products to transform your hair care routine & I definitely recommend giving it a go.

Since using the System Professional [Energy Code Collection] I don't have to wash my hair half as often & the products leave my hair feeling super fresh for days. The products also smell amazing too which is always a bonus. I thought I would talk you through each product I got sent and let you know my thoughts.

This shampoo is a replenishing hair cleanser that helps to restore your hair. It helps regain a healthy PH in your hair and scalp and also contains Keratin & Wheat Germ oil to nourish & soften. I find a lot of shampoos make my hair feel like straw but this one doesn't.

I always double shampoo, I have found this makes your hair feel super clean and lathers up really well. Double shampooing also means you can wait longer before you have to wash your hair again which is always a bonus! I have been super impressed how much difference a good shampoo can make to the overall look and feel of your hair. It also works alongside the rest of the range to diminish the appearance of split ends which is amazing and makes all the difference.

I love a good repair mask and I find treating my hair in this way can really bring it back to life. The repair mask is super rich & nourishing which I love. It is designed to repair, protect, nourish & soften. This Repair Mask also helps prevent future damage and is especially good for tacking split ends & frizz which is exactly what I needed.

I tend to put this hair mask on and leave it for about 5-10 minutes while I'm getting on with the rest of my in- shower routine. If I have a bit more time to hop back in the shower later on I sometimes leave it on all day which also works nicely. This product would be amazing to travel with and would work wonders on holiday hair that has been exposed to too much chlorine, UV rays & sea salt.

I've been loving this product and use it every time I wash my hair. It nourishes my hair without making it look greasy like I've found other products have done in the past. I'm really bad for using heat protectant but this product can be used to protect your hair during a blow dry and against environmental pollutants you come across every day. It's super versatile and you can even use it as a touch up to dry ends on the go.

Perfect Ends helps to calm flyaways and reduce frizz; it also restores strands and keeps my hair hydrated and full of shine too.

I usually avoid hairsprays as I hate how crispy they make my fave feel but I love this one. It has a medium hold and it smells amazing and also cares for your hair too. It can be sprayed on to wet or dry hair and it sets in 60 seconds which allows you to tweak and style your hair in that time.

This product protects against humidity & photo ageing which is amazing, it is also strengthening too. The formula also utilises creative code technology which is inspired by CC cream to give the hair a boost of energy when styling as well.

It is also very easy to brush out which is always always good. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a new hairspray to try out. I have been using this religiously as part of my hair care routine and I have noticed a huge difference to the finish of my hair, I'm super impressed.

I absolutely love the System Professional range and they are definitely something I will be purchasing in the future as a good hair care routine & products make such a difference.

It has been a bit of a while since I uploaded a blog post or posted much on my insta but I'll be back posting very soon & I might even upload a life update too.

Thanks for reading,
Until next time

As you may or not know I was recently contacted by Topshop to become a Beauty Brand Ambassador. I uploaded a blog post back in Feb showing you the first few products I received from them which I have linked here (if you did fancy a read of that!) I was sent some more products a couple of weeks ago so this is a follow up post to that.

Topshop have recently relaunched their beauty range and they have such an amazing collection of on trend products taking you through from day to night. Everything is super affordable and the packaging is just so cute too. Topshop products are also all certified as cruelty free under the Leaping Bunny Programme which is so important. In this blog post I am going to talk you through the products I picked out and let you know what I think of them.

I'm obsessed with Topshop's range of highlighting products. I chose two in my last post and I went for the Glow Liquid Highlighter in Misty this time round. I'm a sucker for makeup products with a pipette and this highlight goes on like a dream. This highlighter is designed to illuminate your complexion and enhance your features and it does just that. When using this product I either mix it in with my foundation (or even my moisturiser) before I apply my makeup or add it on afterwards as a finishing touch depending on how I'm feeling.

This liquid highlighter lasts all day too which is amazing, I sometimes find products like this just don't have the staying power. I did find it tricky to pick a colour in this product as I wasn't sure how it would look on my skin but it is available in three different options. As for the finish this highlight is metallic & pearlescent, I think it is great for every day use and it would also look great on a night out too.

I absolutely adore Topshop lipstick and all the ones I've tried in the past have been absolutely amazing. I chose the Mini Lip Bullet Trio & they are the perfect size for travelling or to just chuck in your bag on the go. These lip bullets come in such gorgeous shades and have an amazing colour pay off too. I am very much a nude lip kinda gal but all three of these colours look really nice on. One of them is a little bit more vampy but it's still very wearable and it's nice to change things up a bit too!

These lipsticks are so easy to use and they twist up too which is something you don't always get with minis. This means you get loads of product and the small size of the bullet makes it so easy to apply precisely. I always find Topshop lipsticks glide on so easily and these ones have a dewy cream finish which makes the product super easy to blend. My lips are super dry at the moment so I always avoid a matte finish as the dewy look is way more forgiving.

Benefit is my go to for brows (blog post here) but I was super intrigued when I spotted this Brow Definer on Topshop's website. I was instantly drawn to it and I knew I had to give it a go. I am obsessed with textured brows at the moment and I think it's such a look.

I love how tiny the spoolie is on this product and it makes it so easy to use. The spoolie picks up just the right amount of product and it makes it super easy to control the application. It's smudge proof and lasts all day too which is great because I don't want to have to keep going back to my eyebrows during the day once I've done my makeup in the morning.

This product could be used after you've shaped your brows first (with a powder/wax) or as a stand alone product. It is also available in 4 different colours, I went for 'cheat' which is a light brown but it also comes in blonde, dark brown & nearly black too.

Thank you so much for reading.
Until next time.

Hair Accessories seem to have made a bit of a comeback at the moment. I have seen so many cute clips and scrunchies all over Insta so I wanted to try the trend out without spending too much in the process. I noticed some pearly ones on Anthropologie that I really liked but when I checked Ebay I found some on there which were pretty much identical and a fraction of the price. I ordered these clips on the 20th of Feb and they arrived on the 1st of March which isn't bad at all considering they came all the way from China! Ebay can be quite hit and miss with the quality but these ones feel really good and at £1.99 per clip (buy three get one free) I really cannot complain so I just had to share!

I have just got back from my hair cut so I thought this would be the perfect time to take some pictures with the help of my 10 year old sister! I'm not sure if I can pull these clips off but I did enjoy having a play around with styling them.

I have tried so many moisturisers over the past few years, from Liz Earle to The Body Shop to Clinique, but I've never found one that I really get on with. I'm not 100% sure on my skin type but I have a very dry t-zone which gets noticeably worse in the colder months. I needed something that would actually make a difference that I could use all year round.

I am so into Charlotte Tilbury products at the moment and I wanted to try Charlotte's Magic Cream for so long. It comes with quite a hefty price tag for a moisturiser so I popped it on my Christmas List and my Boyfriend kindly got me the 50ml. It comes in two other sizes and the smallest (30ml) is £49. I cannot rave about this product enough and when I run out I will definitely be spending my own money on it, a little goes a long way so I'm hoping I can stretch it as far as I can.

I apply this moisturiser in the morning after cleansing and as part of my evening skin care routine before I go to bed. This product is actually making me enjoy looking after my skin so much more now that I'm seeing visible results. The Magic Cream works so nicely under makeup as well and I've been applying this first and then Wonderglow before my foundation.

I have been using this moisturiser for the best part of 6 weeks now and it has completely transformed the texture of my skin and given me such a natural glow. The product feels quite luxurious, it's a little bit thicker and richer than others I've tried in the past but it sinks into your skin so quickly; this is quite important to me because I hate anything that feels heavy or sticky on my skin especially on my face.

Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream has been recognised globally and won so many awards. Charlotte first mixed this product during Fashion Week for the Models to help their tired looking dull skin. This moisturiser has such a unique combination of 8 ingredients which all work together so nicely and absolutely transform your skin.

Hyaluronic Acid- This seals in moisture and creates the appearance of dewy skin. I've noticed a lot of skincare products have this ingredient in. I'm a huge fan of the glowy look and I think the added moisture can be great for everyone regardless of your skin type.

Vitamin C & E- These vitamins brighten & even out your complexion. I've never had a huge problem with spots but I have had a lot of redness in the past and I've noticed a huge difference in my skin. I don't feel like the pigmentation is as noticeable as it was and it's definitely calming down which is amazing.

Bio Nymph & Peptide Complex- I've never heard of either of these ingredients before but they are supposed to stimulate collagen, fight free radicals & reduce appearance of wrinkles helping your skin look a lot more youthful. This product is suitable for all ages, it's never too late to start looking after your skin.

Rosehip Oil- This hydrates skin and gives a radiant glow. I love how much this moisturiser supports a glow and this even shines through after foundation application which I think is insane.

Camelia Oil- This ingredients contributes to softening skin and leaving a bouncy supple finish. I have noticed a huge difference in the texture of my skin, it is so much softer than it ever was before.

Aloe Vera- I use a lot of Aloe Vera especially when I'm on holiday so this moisturiser would be amazing to travel with. Aloe Vera generally moisturises and comforts the skin, I think this is another thing that has eased the redness for me too.

If you would like to try this product but you don't want to fully commit I definitely recommend heading to a Charlotte Tilbury counter and asking for a sample to try first.

For me this product is an absolute game changer and no other moisturiser I've tried can beat the results that it gives in such a small space of time. Not only does my foundation sit so much better on my skin, this moisturiser gives you such a beautiful glow and works wonders for your skin all at the same time.

Thank you so much for reading!

I was recently contacted by Topshop about becoming a beauty ambassador and of course I jumped at the chance. Topshop has recently relaunched their makeup range and I was super excited to try some of their new products.

Topshop Beauty products are all cruelty free and have the most beautiful packaging. I thought I would talk you through some of the products I received that I have been trying out for a few weeks as part of my everyday makeup routine.

This highlight is absolutely amazing and it's definitely one of my favourites. The powder is super soft & velvety, it's such a nice colour & it comes with a mirror too which is always handy. This product is perfect for everyday use. There are three colours in this range and I would love to try the others in the future. I have been using this highlight after I've applied my foundation and bronzer as one of my final steps in my makeup routine.

Another highlighting product I received was the 'Glow Pot' in Polished. I have used this product in the past and it's just so good. I use this after I've applied the powder highlight, you only need a small amount and the colour pay off is amazing; I have found applying this product with my fingers works best. I usually finish my makeup off by applying this product on the top of my cheekbones, in the centre of my cupids bow & (a tiny bit) on the bridge on my nose.

I struggle to find a good foundation as my skin is quite dry but I really like this one. I usually go for a dewy foundation but this one is demi- matte which is the perfect mix of the two finishes. I love the fact this foundation doesn't feel heavy on the skin but you can still achieve a medium to full coverage look. It lasts all day too which is great because it will see me through a long shift at work.

This foundation is designed to enhance and elevate your complexion and I can definitely vouch for that. It is also oil free which is always a bonus and it's super easy to blend. I did completely misjudge the colour when I picked it out and it is about 3 shades too dark but it's fine when I've fake tanned. It would be a lot easier if there was some kind of colour guide on the website as it's so easy to get it wrong. If you're interested I would definitely recommend heading into a store that stocks the beauty range to see what colour works best for you.

I've got useless eyelashes but I really like using this mascara. It is lengthening, curling & volumizing and gives quite a lot of definition. I struggle with mascara transfer but this is smudge proof & waterproof and it's also super buildable without clumping which is great.

I don't really use eye crayons or line my eyes but I do like this product. I use it on my eyelids as an eyeshadow. It's waterproof and long lasting and super easy to use. This product is a dark brown which I like, it makes a change from black from time to time.

This eyeshadow is so nice, it's creamy & soft and has a lovely colour pay off. It's a shimmery gold but it would be really nice for everyday use as it's still quite subtle and buildable. This eyeshadow also comes in 8 different shades, it's super compact and would be a great size for travel.

I'm super into lipliner at the moment and I love this one. Duvet Day is ultra matte and such a pretty shade, perfect for use on it's own or layered under a lipstick. It's super easy to use, goes on really nicely and it doesn't dry out my lips either which is always a bonus.

I love the colour of this lipstick, it's described as 'Burnt Rose' and I think it's so pretty. For everyday I always keep my lips nude and this lipstick fits in with my collection really nicely. This lipstick has a cream finish and goes on like a dream. Topshop have bought this lipstick out in 24 different shades and there's so much choice.

Thank you so much for reading,

What I Got For Christmas 2018

I thought I would upload a (slightly belated) post showing you what I got for Christmas. I love watching videos like this on Youtube so I thought I would upload a blog post of my own. I've been quite busy between Christmas & New Year and with the lack of daylight I haven't had a chance to photograph anything until now.

Like most Youtube videos I'm going to add a little disclaimer that this is by no means me bragging about what I was given I just thought it would be nice to document my gifts this time round. I was so lucky this year and got some really lovely and thoughful presents, gift cards, money and chocolate all of which I'm super grateful for.

I have a complete obsession with Charlotte Tilbury at the moment, I think she is amazing and her products are insane. I was so lucky and received so many lovely products that I can't wait to use now I've photographed them.

I received two lipsticks 'Bitch Perfect' & 'Pillow Talk' as well as the matching Lip Cheat Liner which I'm so excited about. I owned the Pillow Talk lipstick last year and managed to lose it so I'm so excited to have that back in my life again as it's the perfect nude.

I love having a glow so I really can't wait to try the Overnight Bronze & Glow Mask as it's meant to be amazing for your skin as well as the Wonder Glow Primer & The Magic Cream all of which I've heard so many good things about. I will most likely upload my thoughts on here once I've given everything a good go.

I also received a Nuxe Oil, Winter always causes my skin to dry out so I can't wait to give this stuff a go. This product is multipurpose and can be used on your face, body and your hair which is perfect and such a good product for travelling with as it's a 3 in 1.

I also received two perfumes, Chloe Eau De Perfume & Pure XS by Paco Rabanne. Chloe is my GO-TO, I absolutely love it and I've been wearing it for 5 years now. Chloe is a very feminine, floral perfume it smells of roses and even though it has a powdery smell to it it's also super fresh and it lasts all day.

Pure XS is also amazing, it's quite a different perfume to Chloe but I'm absolutely obsessed. I'm awful at describing smells but it has top notes of Ylang Ylang and Hot Vanilla, Heart Notes of Salty/Sweet Popcorn and Base Notes of Sandalwood and Ambrette Seed and it has a lot of depth to it. I also love the velvety box it came in and the snake design on the bottle.

My little sister got me a super cute shell trinket tray from a Christmas Market, which I love, as well as a Benefit set called  'The Beachlorette.' The set comes with a cute little holographic makeup bag, a mini Porefessional, Hoola Bronzer, Sun Beam highlight & a Roller Lash Mascara, I love all of these products and they are the perfect size to travel with. I also find I get a lot of use out of minis as well, they last me so well.

I also received some Ugg Slippers (in Chestnut) and I'm absolutely obsessed with them, they make such an amazing gift. I have wasted so much money on cheap slippers over the years so I was super excited about having some good quality ones that will (hopefully) last me years. Ugg Slippers are so soft and comfy and as soon as I get home I put them on. I have the widest feet ever but they have definetly moulded to my feet in no time at all, they are so perfect for this time of the year!

I really want to make more time for reading in 2019 as I love it so much, I received some really cool books this Christmas. My auntie got me 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck' which is written by a blogger called 'Mark Manson' all about a counter intuitive approach to living a good life. I also got given three of the Sarah Knight books You Do You, The Lifechanging Magic of Not giving a F**k & Get your Sh*t Together, there is a bit of a theme going on here! I have seen Sarah Knight's books all over instagram and I've heard amazing things about them all. I'm super excited to get stuck into them, I would love to upload some book related blog posts in the future.

I also got some Pixi Beauty Goodies and I'm so excited to give these a go as I've heard so many good things about the brand.

I love Baileys and I got given a big bottle (which I'm currently drinking my way through) and this super cool Bailey's Hot Chocolate Gift Set that I can't wait to use, it even comes with a mini whisk which I think is so cute.

Every Christmas without fail Soap & Glory bring out amazing gift sets. This one comes with so many amazing products in the cutest tin which is always a bonus, I'm so excited to use all of these products and I thought it was such a lovely present.

I'm really trying to look after my skin at the moment and take more time to find out what works for me. I was so excited to receive a Glam Glow mask this year. I've heard so many amazing things about the brand and I've seen them all over Instagram. This one is the 'Thirsty Mud' which is supposed to hydrate, moisturise, restore, replenish and calm. As I mentioned earlier in this blog post the colder weather really dries my skin out so hopefully this will sort me out.

I also got given a couple of Liz Earle Products, Liz Earle is a brand I've been using on my face for years. I received a Skin Repair Moisturiser and a Cleanse & Polish both of which are holy grail products that I just can't get enough of.

I also got The White Company's Flower Bath & Shower Gel which leaves your skin smelling and feeling amazing. I tried this product in a spa last year so I'm so excited to have my own.

And lastly I also got this Saint Laurent Card Holder which I'm so in love with. I'm the worst for chucking my cards in my bag and then panicking when I cant find them so hopefully this will sort me out. I love the grainy leather and the gold hardware and I can't wait to use it, I just think it looks so chic!

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got for Christmas. I have so many new blog posts lined up for 2019 that I'm so excited about and I can't wait to share. I'm going to try my hardest to post at least once a week this year if not more if I can.

Happy New Year,
A x
